A pleasing Specimen from the first issue by the Board of Commissioners of Currency, which was established in 1952 to provide common currency for Brunei, the Federation of Malaya, North Borneo, Sarawak, and Singapore. Printed by TDLR, this high denomination large format note shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II alongside orchids on the face and a vignette of 16 coat of arms on the back. Seen on this example is a segmented security thread vertically, red "Specimen" overprints, and a perforated cancelled. This rarity would certainly be a highlight for any collection.
