Fr-300; KM-479.2; S-3423. Elephant and Castle below portraits which indicates gold from the Royal Africa Company. Nearly full sharpness exists on the central devices with surfaces that bear significant alteration, holding blended marks that traverse the majority of the obverse with the intent of smoothing the appearance and more significant metal movement in the fields just below "ET" and "MARIA" where deeper damage must have once existed. The reverse, comparable quite nice, displays only evidence of past cleaning with none of the surface manipulation seen on the front. All considered, about as affordable as this issue comes.
