Like its M000086 serial number brother also offered in this session, this note is one of the first hundred, which was available only to members of government and their families. The original letter from Secretary to the Treasury George T. Allen, which was pinned to the note and the reason for the pinholes noted, is not included, but does not detract from the interest of this first note from the Commonwealth of Australia.
