Australia Commonwealth of Australia £5 ND (1913) Pick 4A R35. The short-lived and very elusive first variety of the first series £5 note. A relatively early serial number is seen on this example, from a run which included notes U000001 to U693442. The two red bands along the top and bottom of the back vignette remains excellent. PMG Very Good 8. PMG has yet to grade another example, and as this is the only example the Dauers encountered, it serves as the plate note in their tome on page 124. From the Drs.
