Australia Commonwealth of Australia £20 ND (1918) Pick 7b R65a. A fantastic example of this higher denomination, with an EPQ designation that must be noted. This example with non-bold serial numbers from X040744 to X167283 and Cerutty/Collins signatures belongs to the second variety of this note. Timber cutting on Bruny Island in Tasmania is featured on the back. Only 421,500 of these notes were printed, but from a census of these notes in 1945 which removed legal tender status of notes above £10, only 506 were left outstanding on the books of the Commonwealth Bank. This cataloger dares say this example is among the finest of those not accounted for. PMG Extremely Fine 40 EPQ. One of maybe fifteen examples known. PMG has not graded another and offerings are a once in a generation event. Illustrated in the Renniks guide and by the Dauers in their book on Australian banknotes, page 131. From the Drs. Joanne and Edward Dauer Collection of Australian Banknotes HID08701242017
