Italy Italian States Banca di Sicilia 100 Lire 27.4.1870 Pick S885cts Color Trial Specimen. The face of this note appears to be printed in dark brown on tan rather than black on tan, but the back definitely is a different color, being printed in red-orange rather than tan, the color selected for production notes. This example is presently the only note listed in the PMG Population Report for this Pick number. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ, noting that the counterfoil is still attached.
