World Banknotes

Banco de Espana, a virtually unique unissued 100 Pesetas on fully watermarked paper, 18 July 1937, no serial numbers but full signatures, featuring General Francisco Castaños, in PMG holder 55, about uncirculated. This note, originally from the archives of the Italian printer Coen & Cartevalori, cannot even be found in the Bank of Spain collection.
Pick 106Cpd £9000-12000

It is believed a single singed example survived the furnace where the majority of notes of this design were destroyed. The note, a fully issued example with serial numbers, went up the chimney and was picked up by a farmer in 1940. Other than that example this is is likely the only survivor, and certainly the most attractive of the two.
