The Triumvirs. Octavian. Summer 37 BC. AR Denarius (19mm, 3.88 g, 5h). Southern or central Italian mint. Bare head right / Emblems of the pontificate: simpulum, aspergillum, guttus, and lituus. Crawford 538/1; CRI 312; Sydenham 1334; RSC 91. Good VF, attractively toned, a few small edge bruises, traces of green deposits.
