Dated AH 1110; RY 42 (5 October AD 1968 - 28 June AD 1699). Couplet citing Aurangzeb; “mihr-e-munir” in couplet; AH date above / Mint and RY formula; khanda symbol to left. Wright -; cf. Singh p. 8 (for a later Mughal issue with this symbol); Hull -; cf. KM 300.53 (for type); Baldwin’s 50, 1074. VF, areas of toning, small flan flaw on reverse. Very rare.


This coin was struck at the time when Guru Gobind Singh was fighting the Mughal emperor in the Punjab.
