Mithradates II (ca. 123-88 BC). AR tetradrachm (31mm, 15.65 gm, 12h). Seleucia on the Tigris. Diademed and draped bust of Mithradates II left, wearing torque / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΜΕΓΑΛΟV ΑΡΣΑ-ΚΟV EΠIΦANOVΣ, archer seated right, holding bow; in exergue, TV. Cf. Sellwood 24.4 (palm in rev. field). Cf. Shore 67 (same). Excellent Hellenistic portrait. Striking weakness on shoulder, a couple of spots of porosity on reverse. Extremely Fine.
