British Colonial copper Pattern Fanam 1815, Pridmore-257, MS61 BN NGC, the Pridmore Plate coin and sold with the original Pridmore Collection tag marked RRR. Struck on a Dutch VOC Duit. The British seized control of Ceylon in 1796 from the Dutch and created a Crown Colony in 1802. A choice item with glossy brown surfaces and a clear VOC monogram below the elephant.
