Jean II le Bon gold Franc a Cheval ND (1350-1364), Fr-279, AU Details, "reverse damage" NGC. The obverse is quite nice. Some minor porosity, yet strong legends and a clear portrait of the king on horseback. The reverse exhibits a somewhat wavy flan, yet the legends and quadrilobe are sharp. A scarce type and an important medieval gold coin.
