First Republic gold 24 Livres 1793A, KM626.1, XF Details NGC (countermarked), a lustrous example of this rare type with a small diamond-shaped counterstamp with letters A-R at 8 o'clock on the obverse (presumably a jeweler's hallmark.) The reverse displays some typical adjustment marks. A very collectable specimen despite the minor blemishes. Krause catalog price(s) for this item: $2500 in VF, $4950 in EF, $9000 in UNC.
