Elizabeth I (1558-1603) gold Half Pound ND, S-2535A, N-2009 (scarce), 6th Issue of 1583-1600, Woolpack mm (used 1594-96), AU53 NGC, light even wear, delightful image of the queen, reverse crowned shield also quite well detailed, legends mostly clear, flan slightly wavy, surfaces generally unmarred (a tiny attempted puncture appears just over the queen's forehead and another at the center of the crown's base are easy to miss) and thus the eye-appeal overall is better than on most seen. Large die-break just at the top of the reverse shield transects most of the coin.From The Marston Collection of British Coins.
