Commonwealth gold Double Crown 1651, S-3210, Sun mm, AU Details "bent" NGC. Despite the "non-certification" of this gold coin it is a lovely and very choice lustrous AU piece, sharply struck on a broad or full flan, the central devices boldly detailed, the legends and date crisp in detail, surfaces sparkling with luster, with premium old-time gold toning. The coin is not bent. It has a flan crease, which is not seen on all such issues but often is, and is part and parcel of coinage manufacture in the 1650s. As our illustration shows, this is a high-quality and very beautiful coin! From The Marston Collection of British Coins.
