Commonwealth gold Unite 1653, S-3208, Sun mm, AU55 NGC, some wear, slightly oblong flan neatly containing the legends, mostly sharp, the three central shields boldly outlined with much detail, appealing gold toning, only a faint wave to the planchet. Quite probably made from gold used centuries before for other kings' coins, melted by the Commonwealth.From The Marston Collection of British Coins.
