James II Crown 1687, S-3407, AU Details "surface hairlines" NGC. The cataloguer sees no hairlines and the surfaces are perfectly normal for a 1687 crown. Overall strike is sharp with the classic weakness of detail on the hair and laurels above the king's eyebrow. Normal light adjustments. Edge crimp at the end of GRATIA. The wear is so slight as to be almost imaginary. Brilliant silvery gray. Remove the coin from the slab and you have quite a nice collectible crown.
Estimate: 2000.00-2500.00 USD
