George I Roses & Plumes Halfcrown 1715, S-3642, Secundo edge, AU53 NGC, even and fairly sharp strike, exceptionally nice surfaces, rich "old cabinet" bluish gray patina. The reverse design featuring the Roses & Plumes signifies that the silver used to coin this halfcrown was obtained from the Company for Smelting Pit Coale and Sea Coale. This decoration was used now and then through several reigns. Most silver of George I is very scarce in high grades as seen here. The 2012 SCBC value for their EF is £2,850 (about $4,600) and this coin could be worth that the right collector, for it is very choice.

Estimate: 2000.00-2750.00 USD
