Griquatown bronze Penny (1890), KM-Pn6, PR61 BN NGC, reflective luster, heavily dappled multi-hued toning in shades of blue and brown. Light disturbance to the surfaces, mainly on the obverse. Some collectors will dislike the color of this coin, while others will find it charming. Struck in Berlin by Nolte for Lauer. Brian Hern calls these Patterns. Obverse features a Victoria Young Head portrait, while the reverse depicts the symbolic flying dove with a single star under each wing. (Mis-identified as KM-Pn5 on the grading insert.)
