Unusual uniface example apparently struck without the reverse die. Toned. Good Very Fine.It is interesting to speculate how this uniface coin could have been produced with only an obverse type, the reverse being blank. Perhaps it was created as the result of a test strike with only an obverse die. Alternatively, it could have been the result of two coin blanks becoming stuck together, then separating after being struck. In which case, somewhere out there may be a uniface Brutus denarius showing only a reverse type...
