Cordoba 1839 Castle Cuartilla, KM2.2 Quarter Real 1839-PP, EF40 ANACS. Highly attractive with fascinating rendition of a Spanish castle with assayer P flanking it on both sides.. Vertical axis, well struck and highly desirable. The reverse has an impressive sunface. This date appears fairly often in low quality, with much obvious wear, but is rare as nice as this conservatively graded piece pedigreed to the Dana Roberts' sale last April under lot 25340 (sold for $690).Dana Roberts Collection and Study Group.
