Leon 1/12 Dime related to USA Coinage, Eklund 1013. Mercado de Leon copper 26.5 mm vertical axis issue denominated "1/12 DIME". The only brother of this was a "1/24 Dime". Both were almost certainly issued when one of the most commonly circulating items in the nation of Nicaragua was the USA dimes (10 Cents), many dated 1837-1853. Dana had another example, not as nice as this, which brought an excited reaction last year and sold for around $1000 in Chicago.
