Mixed lot of nine coins AD1538-1692, Earliest is a "bawbee" (sixpence) of James V. Mary, Queen of Scots, is readable on a "black" example of Seaby 437. James VI is featured on horseback on two varieties of the 30 Shillings, both Seaby 5503 and 5504. The thistle mark & shield are shown on a clearly dated 1602 of Seaby 5499. "Briot's Coinage" is a Seaby 5448 40-pence from around 1636. Final three coins are a Merk dated 1669 of Charles II plus bawbee pieces of 1678 and 1692. As is so typical for the coinage of this Northern zone in that era, the coins are all heavily circulated, probably grading Good to almost Fine. Sold as is, NO Return.
