BC-20FP; -20BP $1000 1935 French Text Face & Back Proofs PCGS Superb Gem New 67PPQ or better. A pair of uniface face and back proofs mounted on diesunk cardstock, these two pieces reflect the 1935 $1000 French version design put into production except for the color. A handwritten annotation contemporary to when these were produced notes that the color is wrong and should have been Olive 85 instead of Olive 5. By their very nature, these proofs are unique and wonderful collateral pieces for any Canadian collection. Less than one year ago, in our 2017 Central States Signature Auction, we offered a matched pair of the $500 French Text face and back proofs, and they realized nearly $6,000.
