This Specimen book was originally mailed to H.R. Longmuir. He was a board member of the Reserve Bank of Australia at the time. The development of this issue is discussed in the book. There are two of each denomination in this book and they are in the above order. The Specimens are not graded, as they are mounted in the book. This action has preserved their ideal color for over 50 years and they never circulated. They are printed on both sides and the faces carry an all zero serial number. The book has 24 pages, but it is not paginated. Included with this lot is the original mailing envelope postmarked "London" with a Thos. de la Rue rubber stamping on the back. A great item from the time that Australia went to decimal coinage. The item count is two for this lot composed of a book plus the mailing envelope. HID08701242017
