Typical askew centering is all the prevents an even higher grade on this otherwise choice example. Original paper is noted through the third party holder. Universally popular among collectors, as this was the first banknote to feature then-Princess Elizabeth Windsor, who would become Queen Elizabeth II in 1952. The death of her grandfather, King George V, in 1936, lead to the speedy withdrawal of this series and the issuance of a fresh series, featuring the new King, George VI.
