Bridgetown, Barbados- The Canadian Bank of Commerce $5 2.1.1922 Ch # 75-20-04 PMG Choice Fine 15. This bank was one of several chartered banks which established branches in British West Indies colonies. The Barbados branch opened in 1922, the year after branches were established in Port of Spain, Trinidad and in Kingston, Jamaica. All of these branch issues are scarce, with high grade specimens being quite difficult to obtain. This is the sole collectible denomination from the 1922 issue, with examples unpriced in higher than Very Fine in Charlton. Nice color is still found on this evenly circulated example. HID08701242017
