Morocco Banque d'Etat du Maroc 100 Francs 1.2.1921 Pick 14 PMG Choice Very Fine 35. An iconic example from an early issue of the Moroccan Franc. The Moroccan Rial was replaced by the Franc in 1919, mainly because of the pressure the French Franc was under after World War I, and its depreciation against the Rial. Views of Rabat and harbor on face. Additionally, one notices a grand palm tree in the center, almost as if it is offering shade from the hot sun of Rabat. Watermarks on either side of a lions head in crescent, and a five pointed star. This example is the top graded out of 5 on the PMG Report. Rarely offered in this grade, and previously from the Amon Carter Collection. From the Minot Collection HID08701242017
