Panama Banco Central de Emission 20 Balboa 1941 Pick 25s Specimen PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. This enormously rare Specimen is of the highest denomination banknote issued in Panama. Specifically, this example is the single finest graded in the PMG Population Report, and the only one with Gem designation at the time of cataloging. Panamanian President Arnulfo Arias authorized the production of banknotes, which were released on October 2nd, 1941. A week later, Arias was ousted from power, and the newly released notes were quickly withdrawn and destroyed, leaving surviving examples few and far between. This offering is a rare opportunity.
