Reunion Tresor Colonial 2 Francs 8.7.1884 Pick 3 PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. The 2 Franc note was the largest denomination of the first issue made in 1884 under provisions of the decree of May 2, 1879. The notes assured the holders that "the equivalent value in specie was deposited in the treasury." This particular example has survived in particularly nice condition, quite surprisingly, given the passage of time and the climate of Reunion. This marks the first time we have offered this Pick number and also the first time that it has appeared in any public auction in recent years. From the Feeling Good Collection HID08701242017
