Burundi Banque de la Republique 500 Francs 5.12.1964 Pick 18 PCGS Choice About New 58. A well margined and colorful example of this early provisional issue from Burundi which is from the first series of notes after the establishment of the Republic. Due to shortages, already printed currency was repurposed where the French and Kirundi translation of "Kingdom" was overstamped by hand and replaced with "Republic". Just the slightest handling is found on this sharply inked piece. From the Minot Collection HID08701242017
