Ireland Republic of Ireland 10 Dollars ND (1866-1919) Pick S102r National Promissory Bond Remainder PMG Extremely Fine 40 EPQ. Quite an interesting bit of financial history, this undated remainder has a noteworthy clause hidden in the green underprint, which reads: "In the sum of TEN DOLLARS redeemable With Interest at the rate of Six Percent per Annum Six Months from the acknowledgement of the Independence of the Irish Nation or at the option of the Republic ______ Six Percent Interest bearing ______________ payable in III years from that day." Basically, the proposed Irish Republic would pay out 10 Dollars, with interest, when independence was secured from Great Britain. Although some of the text is almost completely obscured, the overall gist is evident. Scarce and desirable. From the Goldsworthy Collection HID08701242017
