ENGLISH COINS. Early Anglo Saxon, Primary Sceattas (c.680-c.710), Silver Sceat, BIIIA, type 27a, diademed head right with protruding jaw, within serpent circle, rev linear bird on cross, within serpent circle, annulets either side, pellets above beside bird, 0.87g (N 128; cf S 777B). Lightly toned, obverse die flaw, otherwise well-struck, good very fine.
