Edward VI (1547-1553), Shilling, Southwark mint, Fine Silver Issue (1551-1553), facing crowned bust of king, rose to left, value to right, within linear and beaded circles, initial mark y both sides, rev long cross fourchée over quartered shield of arms, 6.24g (N 1937; S 2482). Attractively toned, small edge peck on obverse at 10 o’clock, otherwise a weak very fine, pleasing portrait.
