(x) Archbishops of Canterbury, Wulfred (805-832), Penny, 1.02g, 6h, anonymous group II, + vvlfredi archiepiscopi, tonsured and draped bust facing within solid inner circle, rev. + doroverniae cifitatis around inner circle containing alpha-omega monogram (Naismith C36.2b this coin; N.236; S.887), edge slightly chipped between 9 and 12 o'clock but otherwise an attractive sharply struck coin, darkly toned, extremely fine, very rare.
