Rama V silver Essai 1 Baht RS127 (1908), Uniformed bust left / Three-headed elephant, KM-E1, Specimen 62 PCGS. Nicely struck with light peripheral toning and no egregious imperfections. This Essai was struck at the Paris Mint and comes in two varieties, a brilliant surface and the Matte surface of this piece. From our experience, the Matte variety is much the scarcer of the two varieties, both of which are Rare. The designer's name, A. PATEY appears above the left shoulder of Rama V on this variety, unlike the piece we sold in April, 2012, which has the name near the right shoulder along the rim.
Estimate: 15000-20000 USD
