Transylvania, Gabriel Bethlen (1613-29), 10 ducats, 1616, bust left wearing feathered kalpag, rev., arm issuing from clouds holding upright sword with blade through crown, banner in centre with legend consilio firmata dei., 34.78g (Resch 12; F. 345), lightly tooled in field behind bust and with possible traces of mounting or test-marks on the edge, otherwise good very fine and lightly toned, rare. Ex Glendining auction, 31 March 1965, lot 119 and purchased from Siggi Werkner, October 1980.
