SICILY, Syracuse. Agathokles. 317-289 BC. AR Tetradrachm (24.5mm, 16.33 g, 7h). Struck circa 317-310 BC. Wreathed head of Arethousa left; three dolphins around, NI below neck / Charioteer driving fast quadriga left; counterclockwise triskeles above, monogram in exergue. Ierardi 33a (O6/R17) = SNG ANS 638 (this coin); BAR Issue 2; HGC 2, 1348; SNG Fitzwilliam 1331 (same dies); de Luynes 1317 (same dies). Old cabinet tone, compact flan, some roughness, scratches under tone on reverse. Good VF.
