Lebanon Banque de Syrie et du Liban 100 Livres 1.12.1945 Pick 53 PCGS Very Fine 30. A stunning example of this already beautiful note that is at the top of many collectors' want lists. Unusually good paper is seen on this example, which is often found with a plethora of repairs, edge damage, or notations. This lightly circulated example only has a clean, hole punched cancellation. Otherwise, fresh paper, vivid colors, and mostly clean margins are easily noticed. One of the most beautiful 20th century banknotes and eminently collectible as such. Enormous buying power prevented most of these notes from being saved to be enjoyed today.
