Syria Banque de Syrie et du Grand-Liban 100 Livres 1939 Pick 39Fa PMG Choice Very Fine 35 Net. A beautiful example of this highest denomination issue, with fresh colors and much above average paper. At the time of cataloging, this is the single finest graded example in the PMG Population Report, with no auction appearances according to Track & Price. This variety, with the single slash overprint appears to be scarce in anything above the Fine gradepoint. Tape repairs on the back of the note are typical for the type, and do little to detract from the overall appearance. A scarce, high grade overprinted type that is a worthy upgrade in the best of regional collections.
