Canada Bank of Canada $20 1935 BC-9b "English" PMG Uncirculated 62. A stunning, Uncirculated example of this middle denomination of the short-lived 1935 series, and very rare in this lofty grade. The Canadian Banknote Company had a pesky habit of haphazardly cutting the sheets of the printed banknotes, which results in many of the notes being off center on one or more of the margins. This problem-free example exhibits the typical off-centering, which prevents a higher grade on this otherwise terrific example. Engraved from a photograph of then-Princess Elizabeth when she was 8 years old, this is the first banknote to feature the eventual Queen. Widely sought after across multiple collecting fields in the hobby, and very rare in Uncirculated grade.
