Cuba Banco Nacional de Cuba 2 Pesos ND (1905) Pick 66 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. An absolute key note from Cuba and from the Caribbean as a whole, and seldom, if ever, offered as an issued banknote. In fact, the complete denomination set from this initial Banco Nacional de Cuba series is offered today, representing an important collector opportunity that may not come around again. Each note of the series was prepared and sent to banks across the island for release. Almost immediately thereafter, the decree came from Havana that this type was to be sent back to headquarters to be destroyed. However, a few banks had issued some notes before the decree, and were apparently unable to retrieve them. A scant few examples remain today from the ill-fated series.
