Southwest Africa Barclays Bank D.C.O. 5 Pounds 29.11.1958 Pick 6b PMG Very Fine 25. A scarce high denomination for Barclays Bank from South West Africa, now known as Namibia. This issue was released during South African control, and explains why Afrikaans is seen in addition to English. One will also notice German values, mostly because there is still a sizable German population. Dark green with sheep on the face and Barclays crest on the back. Very small numbers of the 5 Pounds were issued, and thus desirable. Tear. https://currency.ha.com/itm/world-currency/southwest-africa-barclays-bank-dco-5-pounds-29111958-pick-6b-pmg-very-fine-25/a/4015-29173.s?type=CoinArchivesCurrency4015 HID08706262019 © 2019 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
