Small iron "sailshot" (barshot), American Revolutionary War, from a Boston collection (rare). 380 grams, 3" long, 1-1/4" in diameter. Very small barshot, almost like two fused grapeshot, said to be like those used by John Paul Jones, each sphere dark brown/black in appearance and made in two parts as per visible seams, intact and somewhat pitted from age.
