Superb full shield and cross-and-tressure enhanced by dark toning on fields (magnificent contrast), especially in the countermark (full), also with much legend including date and king's ordinal, corrosion-free VF, desirable pedigree. Pedigreed to the von Schuckmann collection (Renaissance auction of December 2001, lot #3051), the Ponterio auction of April 1999 (lot #188), and our Auction #20 (lot #794).
