Mexico City, Mexico, pillar 2 reales, Philip V, 1737/3MF, very rare. Yonaka-M2-37a/b; Gilboy-M-2-a/b; KM-84; CT-unl. 6.70 grams. AU- with rainbow toning and traces of original luster. Yonaka and Gilboy both mention separate overdates 1737/3 and 1737/6, but this coin shows elements of both, which leads us to believe they are all simply progressions of the same overdate 7/3. Pedigreed to the Potomac collection of Mexican pillars.
