PADUAN MEDALS. Septimius Severus, 193-211. Medallion (?) (Bronze, 41 mm, 29.84 g, 6 h), by Giovanni di Cavino (1500-1570), a later aftercast. L•SEPTIMIVS•SEVERVS•PERTINAX•AVG•IMP•VIII Laureate and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus to right, breastplate decorated with gorgoneion. Rev. DIVI•M•PII•F•P•M•TR•P•IIII•COS•II•P•P Mars, nude, standing front, head to right, holding spear in his right hand and shield in his left; at feet to left, cuirass. Klawans 1. Flan cracks, otherwise, very fine.
