The coinage of Bohemia in the 14th century was dominated by the vast quantities of Groats (Pragergroshcen) and Pennies (Parvus) struck from the silver deposits discovered in Kutná Hora in 1298. Gold was comparatively rare, especially the handsome Florins of Charles IV.
