Potter & Winstanley dies lis on sun & rose 1/sun & rose 2 (unlisted combination); SCBI 23 (Ashmolean) –; Schneider 503 (same obv. die); North 1694; SCBC 2180. Slightly off centre. VF. Extremely rare.

Richard III was slain at the Battle of Bosworth on 22 August 1485. Here we find an Angel obverse die prepared for Richard but repurposed for use by the victor at Bosworth, Henry Tudor; hENRIC has been engraved over RICARD.
