SCARCE two year type struck for less than a year, produced between 23 July 1822 to 17 June 1823 when royalist forces reoccupied the city of Lima. A well struck example with better definition of the details than normally encountered. Attractive soft grey tone throughout with slate patina in the peripherals and amongst the devices thats highlighted by light russet at the edges. A wholly original survivor sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.
